ABout Me
Hi, I’m Lucy! Originally from the UK, I’ve called the U.S. home since 2010, where I live with my husband and our two daughters, now 9 and 13.
I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and Wellness Coach, and I’m passionate about helping people of all ages and fitness levels reach their health goals. My approach is thoughtful, well-rounded, and designed to support both physical and emotional well-being. I also have Personal Training specializations in Youth Exercise and Senior Fitness, so I can offer personalized coaching that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each age group.
Fitness and mental wellness have always been at the heart of my journey for many years. After being diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) at 15, I faced the debilitating effects of chronic fatigue firsthand. Through that challenge, I discovered just how powerful movement can be in reclaiming strength and energy. Later, after experiencing postnatal depression following the birth of both my daughters, I leaned on exercise as a lifeline through that difficult time. That experience profoundly deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and ultimately inspired me to become a certified Wellness Coach. Just a few years ago, I also managed to recover from a sizeable cervical disc herniation without surgery—an experience that strengthened my belief in my own resilience and the power of strength training.
Before opening Thrive Studio, I worked in Investment Banking, but my own journey and passion for personal growth led me to create a space where others can thrive through a focus on fitness, nutrition and wellness. I would love to welcome you into an uplifting, supportive and fun environment that will support you on your own journey!

My Path to Nutrition Coaching
After years of dedicating myself to exercise and physical fitness, I naturally developed an interest in nutrition, realizing how essential it is in fueling performance, recovery and overall well-being. Becoming a mother to two girls deepened my commitment to nutrition —I was not only fueling my own body but also responsible for supporting their growth, health and development through the food choices I made.
Growing up in England, my understanding of nutrition was limited—I basically embraced potatoes in every form, considered ‘beige’ a food group, and thought overcooked was a cooking style! As I delved into the topic, I began to realize that the food environment here in the U.S. is very different from my upbringing and I needed to educate myself – and my daughters – about nutrition. I began to see the powerful impact that sensible and balanced food choices were having on both my, and my children’s, physical and emotional wellbeing. I learned first-hand that sound nutrition is not about self-denial or abstention: it’s about balance and making informed choices that serve both our bodies and minds. Recognizing the profound influence of sensible nutrition, I became a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach to empower others in harnessing the power of food for optimal health and well-being.

At Thrive Studio, I believe in embracing the whole person to achieve true wellness. My approach centers around three key components: sound nutrition, emotional wellbeing and physical fitness. It is at the intersection of these three elements that I believe we are truly able to harness the benefits of whole-body wellness. I have come to realize that sustainable wellness practices are the foundation of long-term health, far beyond the fleeting benefits of short-term fads. I am dedicated to helping you build new habits and behaviors that are achievable and lasting. At the core of my philosophy is to ensure you feel cared for, invested in and supported. Most importantly, I want you to enjoy your journey. I am with you, every step of the way.
How It Works
I welcome clients of all ages and all fitness levels to my home-based studio in Needham. The studio is well equipped with a wide range of equipment to accommodate a range of fitness goals and levels and is spacious enough to accommodate small groups but also intimate and welcoming for those who prefer to train on a one-to-one basis. Together, we’ll create an environment where you can dedicate yourself fully to your journey and where success is within reach.
